Introduction

2019, I joined Gear Inc DaNang as their Senior Game Design. DaNang branch was like a R&D incubator, where we test new ideas & build products that used for pitching sales. Animal Island - Blast Friends was the branch's first game.

I this product, I handled:

  •  Wireframe and UX

  • Story Writing and Character Design

  • Database Design

  • Level Design

Database & Skill Design

One of many things we had to tackle was the Database Design. It had to be easy to use and maintain, extendable, able to support all level design and all character's skills, both in listing and configs.

​

The exciting point is where we finished integrating skill system in the database. We can config the skill to follow conditions like, when to execute, what to do, what target this skill aims to, etc.. All was designed to be parameters and functions so that we can swap them around to create new skills for other characters.
